Firstly we decided to have an extreme long shot of the home belonging to the disturbed father, his wife and their children. It should look something like the image on your left. This is to establish where the incident is taking place.
In the second scene it shows the disturbed father in the kitchen holding a petrol can.
There will be a invisible cut to a close up of the petrol can.
It will then cut to a close up of his face only showing the eyes and nose, showing sweat on his forehead and he will be twitching his eyes to show the anger that he feels.
It suddenly shows him throwing petrol all over the kitchen and as he goes to the front room he stops and looks at the photographs on the mantle piece. He picks up one of the photos which show the husband, wife and two children on the picture, the glass in the frame is also broken.
This leads to a flashback of a previous event of an argument.
Sound of flash.
The flashback will be in black and white and will begin with a low canted angle of a close up of the car door opening and a lady's foot coming out slowly.
There will be a cut to a long shot of the house like the first shot but this time at the window there will be the car from the previous shot also showing the lady walking into the house and saying "Goodbye" to the driver. Also in this shot the husband will be peeking from behind the curtain peering down at her and the car.
Sound of flash.
This Flashback will be a media shot of the wife and husband arguing, however, the music will drown out the sound so the arguing will be heard a little but the viewer will not be able to make out what is being said. Suddenly the male gets wound up, you can see anguish in both their eyes but he picks up the photo frame and throws it at his wife.
Sound of Flash. Back to the present...
